Tomato Bruschetta: Sautéing With Sudha 
You can never go wrong with a simple and tasty appetizer like bruschetta (pronounced broo-ske-tuh). I mean, it doesn't get much better than a 5 ingredient recipe that requires no cooking or heating up. Fool people into thinking you're this incredible cook by mastering the *art of bruschetta* with this recipe.
Prep/Cook Time: 10 Minutes

What You'll Need:
•5 roma tomatoes (chopped)
•1/2 medium sized red onion (chopped)
•2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
•1 loaf of bread (italian, baguette, ciabatta, etc)
•8-10 fresh basil leaves
•salt for taste
•garlic powder (optional)
➊ Dice up your tomatoes and onions (~1cm) and combine into a bowl. Drizzle on some olive oil and sprinkle salt for taste. Using your fingers, tear apart your basil leaves and combine into the bowl with your mixture. Set aside in the fridge while you prepare your bread.
➋ Cut your bread into slices of about 1/2in thickness. Brush on some olive oil and place into toaster for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Once toasted and still hot, sprinkle on a little garlic powder for extra flavor.
➌ To serve, lay out your bread and pile a spoonful of your mixture on top. Drizzle some extra olive oil on top and sprinkle on some extra salt if needed.
