"Healthy" Chicken Nuggets: Sautéing With Sudha [23]


I'm obsessed with my air fryer. I mean... actually obsessed. I throw in any and EVERY thing in there and it comes out crispy AF. Very recently, I threw in some chicken nuggets and my life was changed. I was eating that as a snack almost every day until I realized how bad packaged chicken nuggets really were. I stumbled onto TheGoldenBalance 's TikTok - not surprising since most of my following is just...food..pages... He made this 'healthy alternative' to chicken nuggets when he was trying to lose some weight at the time and I just knew I had to try it. For me, it wasn't about losing weight or anything. It was literally because I couldn't stop eating chicken nuggets LOL. So, this recipe only really works with an air fryer - I'm sure you could bake them, but I don't really know how they'll come out. I suppose you could try baking them into a 400 degree oven. Idk.. I don't bake lol. Anyways, I made these yesterday and cried. God bless you, Ahmad.


Air Fryer 'Healthy' Chicken Nuggets


Prep/Cook Time: ~20 Minutes

Serving Size: 1-2


What You'll Need: •4-5 chicken tenders

•1 cup panko breadcrumbs

•2-3 tbsp olive oil

•seasonings (1-1.5 tsp each): garlic powder, paprika, italian seasoning, onion powder, salt + pepper to taste

•1/2 lemon for juice

•1 tbsp butter

•1 tsp garlic powder

•1/2 cup parsley or cilantro


How To:

➊ Dice up your chicken tenders and throw into a bowl with olive oil and your seasonings. Once completely coated, throw in your bread crumbs and a little extra olive oil to create a crust.


➋ Once they're all coated with the breadcrumbs, place them into your air fryer for about 15-17 minutes at 400 degrees. Make sure to flip them at the halfway mark. While you're waiting for the chicken to cook, heat up a skillet on medium heat and melt your butter (do not burn!). Squeeze in your lemon juice, garlic powder, and cilantro. Mix together until it creates a sauce.

➌ Once your nuggets are done, throw them into your sauce and mix everything together. Plate and dip into your favorite sauce.
