Fashion Hacks [Part 2]
Accidentally did your hair and makeup before changing your clothes? Can't find an iron? Shoes too tight?
Here are some T 'n' Ts (tips 'n' tricks) for the best fashion hacks - part 2! You can find Part 1 under my 'Tip 'N' Tricks' tab.
1. Save Your Hair: To avoid getting your makeup on your clothes or ruining your hair, put a large scarf or a plastic bag over your head before putting on your shirt. A *tip* - a silk scarf will keep off the static.
2. No Iron? No Problem: If you can't seem to find an iron and have a last minute press, use your hair straightener! This works best for thinner shirts AND collars (for men!). Crispy and clean.
3. Breaking In Shoes: There are a few ways to break in your shoes - one of my favorite ways is to wear 2 pairs of fuzzy socks, squeeze into the shoes, and run a blow dryer on the shoes. After about 30 minutes, you'll be able to slip your foot right in (without the socks, of course). Another way (that hasn't been tested personally by me) is to fill up Ziplock bags with water, place them in your shoes, and throw them into the freezer. The water will freeze and expand the shoes without damaging anything. This is probably the easier way to do it... maybe it's time to ditch the fuzzy socks.
Stay tuned for part 3 of my favorite fashion hacks!
