Creamy Bacon Tortellini: Sautéing With Sudha [17]

It's annoying because now that I've figured out all these super easy and quick pasta recipes, I can't stop eating it............ :)
Creamy Bacon Tortellini
Prep/Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Serving Size: 1
What You'll Need:
•tortellini (or your pasta of choice)
•2-4 strips bacon
•1/2 red onion
•2 tbsp minced garlic
•seasonings: crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, salt + pepper - all according to taste
•1 cup heavy cream
•1/2 cup parmesan cheese
How To:
➊ In a heavily salted pot of water, throw in your tortellini and let it boil while you prepare your sauce.
➋ Add about 1/2 tbsp of oil into a medium-hot pan and throw in your bacon. Let your bacon cook and start crisping before adding your red onion. Cook together until your onion is translucent. Next, add your garlic and seasonings. Be sure to check on your pasta. Don't let it overcook.
➌ After about 1 minute of cooking everything together, add your heavy cream and about 4-6 tbsp of pasta water. Slowly start adding in your parmesan cheese and stir nonstop until the sauce starts thickening. Throw in your pasta and stir together for about half a minute until all pasta is fully covered.
➍ Plate and top with parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, and parsley. I like to add a dash of lemon juice to lighten up the sauce.
Enjoy your incoming food coma!
