Chocolate PB Banana Bites: Sautéing With Sudha
This recipe is definitely one of the easiest I've made when I'm craving something sweet but don't want to be on x-games mode from a sugar high. The best part is I don't have to wait long like I do when I'm baking cookies or cake. I'm, like, the most impatient person when it comes to baking (thats why I don't lol). I like to call this dessert healthy so I don't feel bad popping 47 of these into my mouth within 15 minutes. You may think that's funny now but just wait... you TOO will be THAT person.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites
Prep/Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Serving Size: As many as you'd like
What You'll Need:
•natural peanut butter
•chocolate chips (i chose semi-sweet)
➊ Line a plate with parchment paper. Slice up your banana(s) about 1/4in thick. Put about a teaspoon of peanut butter on a banana round and top with another round, creating a peanut butter sandwich. Create peanut butter sandwiches with all your banana slices.
➋ Place sandwiches on parchment paper and freeze for about 5-7 minutes - the longer you wait, the easier it is to dip the bananas into the chocolate without them feeling slime-y and slipping around. While your bananas are in the freezer, pour chocolate chips into a bowl with a few spoons of heavy cream (1/2 cup chocolate chips:~1/2 tbsp heavy cream). Heat for about 15-20 seconds and stir until the mixture creates a chocolate sauce. Add more chips / cream depending on consistency. It shouldn't be very runny, but similar to a chocolate molten cake sauce.
➌ Remove sandwiches from freezer, coat half with chocolate, and place back onto parchment paper. Repeat until all sandwiches are dipped. Place sandwiches in fridge for about 10-15 minutes until chocolate has hardened.
Enjoy your incoming food coma!
